Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of soil survey information should contact the NRCS at the USDA Service Center that services the county of interest. Descriptions of the new features in each of the following releases:

Web Soil Survey 2.2.6

Web Soil Survey 2.2.6 is a maintenance release. No user-visible changes were made.

Web Soil Survey 2.2.5 is a maintenance release. The following user-visible changes were made:

  • Fixed bug: Intermittent BAF.Map web service Null Reference error when creating a map.
  • Fixed bug: Restored search access to “New Features” pages.

Web Soil Survey 2.2.4

Web Soil Survey 2.2.4 is a maintenance release. The following user-visible changes were made:

  • Fixed bug: Intermittent BAF.Map web service error when creating a map.
  • Added “.mil” and several other top-level domains to the email address validation.
  • Reconfigured generation of PDFs so that they are completely downloaded before they open.
  • Errors in Printable Version are now reported as errors, not as warnings.
  • Fixed “bad cast” error in Contact Us.

Web Soil Survey 2.2.3

Web Soil Survey 2.2.3 is a maintenance release. The following user-visible changes were made:

  • Eliminate load balancer “sticky” cookie when session ends, and when accessing the sorry server.

Web Soil Survey 2.2.2 is a maintenance release. The following user-visible changes were made:

  • Fixed bug: Do not cache map images that lack background aerial photos due to an error.

Web Soil Survey 2.2.1

Web Soil Survey 2.2.1 is a maintenance release. The following user-visible changes were made:

  • Fixed bug: The AOI Polygon map tool does not draw visible lines in Internet Explorer 8.
  • ESRI ArcGIS Online Address Finder: Replaced usage of the obsolete ESRI ArcWeb Address Finder with the ESRI ArcGIS Online Address Finder.

Web Soil Survey 2.2

Web Soil Survey 2.2 is a maintenance release. The following user-visible changes were made:

  • Added print date to Custom Soil Resource Report.
  • Cleaned up PDF file names - no “8212”.
  • If cannot create a map in a Printable Version, report as an error, not a warning.
  • Replaced low-res NRCS logo in Custom Soil Resource Report cover.
  • In the Custom Soil Resource Report PDF Table Of Contents, the Map Unit Descriptions section is now initially closed.
  • Fixed bug: Lost track of maps in Custom Soil Resource Reports with more than ten maps.
